University of Oregon Foundation Website

CLIENT

The University of Oregon Foundation is a nonprofit corporation partnered with the University of Oregon. It accepts and administers private gifts donated to further the University of Oregon’s mission. Although the Foundation is a separate entity from the university, its sole reason for existence is to partner with the University of Oregon and serve in its donors’​ best interests.

PROJECT

In anticipation of its centennial anniversary, The University of Oregon Foundation planned to launch a new public-facing website for donors and potential donors. This new website would feature an updated visual brand, live forms, and an easy-to-navigate user interface. The University of Oregon intended the website to be a first step in creating a new brand identity, one different but still connected to The University of Oregon. It was determined that the new visual brand needed to balance friendliness and institutionally to inspire trust in donors. 

Additionally, it was imperative that the communications team at The University of Oregon Foundation could manage the website’s content and live forms, along with monitoring site traffic and related analytics. Wix was chosen to develop and host the site due to its accessibility and robust online support.

VISUAL BRANDING

The visual exploration resulted in a friendly and modern website in line with contemporary community-focused non-profits. Strong type and visual references to The University of Oregon were used to maintain a sense of credibility donors could trust. At hand-off, the client was given a style guide to help maintain the brand when making updates.
